Where Intention Meets Readiness

The sacred journey begins before the first step.

Psychedelic healing doesn't begin when the substance is taken—it begins with preparation. The days or weeks leading up to your journey are just as important as the experience itself. Whether you're working with psilocybin, LSD, DMT, or MDMA, approaching this path with care, intention, and respect lays the foundation for transformation.

At Psychedelic Healing UK, we believe preparation is a sacred part of the healing process. Your mindset, your surroundings, and your emotional state all shape what unfolds.

Set & Setting: The Sacred Foundation

  • Set refers to your mindset—your emotional state, expectations, and inner landscape.
  • Setting is your environment—who you’re with, where you are, and how safe you feel.

Choose a space that feels nurturing and quiet. Dim lighting, soft music, and comforting items (blankets,  art, nature) can support a sense of safety. If possible, have a trusted trip sitter present—someone calm, sober, and supportive.

Setting an Intention

Before your journey, ask yourself: Why am I doing this? What am I open to receiving or releasing?

Intentions don’t need to be complex. Simple truths like “I want to heal”, “I am open to insight”, or “I trust what I will be shown” can guide the experience.

Try journaling a few days before. Let your subconscious speak freely.

Prepare the Body, Ground the Soul

  • Eat light, nourishing meals 24 hours before

  • Avoid alcohol, other substances, or anything numbing

  • Rest well the night before

  • Begin the day with meditation or breathwork to center yourself

What You Might Need

  • Water, light snacks

  • Journal or voice notes

  • Calming music or nature sounds

  • Symbolic object (crystal, photo, talisman)

  • Gentle clothing and a warm blanket

⚠️ A Final Word on Safety

Only proceed if you feel emotionally stable and secure. If you're feeling anxious, chaotic, or unsupported—postpone. There is no rush. The medicine will wait until you're ready.

Healing doesn’t begin in the ceremony. It begins in the quiet moment you choose to walk toward yourself.
